Who we are
Brandable is a commercial printing company with an in-house creative agency, operating at ilovebrandable.com. We are based in the United States. For anything to do with this notice, email hello@ilovebrandable.com.
Brandable is the controller of the personal information described here, which means we decide why and how it is used.
What we collect, and when
We only collect what a request needs. Nothing on this site asks you to create an account before you can ask a question.
- Quote and project inquiries. Your name, email address, business name, and whatever you tell us about the project. The design brief form also asks for a project title, a description of the business and any websites or social pages you choose to share.
- Sample pack requests. Your name, email address, business name and the postal address the pack should go to.
- Print orders. Your name, email address, billing and shipping address, phone number if you give one, the items you ordered and the artwork files you upload for printing.
- Payment. Card payments are handled by Stripe, our payment processor. Your card number is entered on Stripe's secure form and never reaches our servers. We receive confirmation that the payment succeeded, the last four digits of the card and the billing name.
- Email you send us. If you email us, we keep the message and our reply so we can follow the conversation.
- Technical information. Our web server records the IP address, browser type and pages requested for every visit, as almost every website does. We use these logs to keep the site running and to block abuse.
Cookies and tracking
We use the small number of cookies the shop needs to work: one that remembers what is in your cart, and session cookies if you sign in to view an order. These are set by WooCommerce, the software that runs our shop, and they do not track you across other websites.
We do not currently run advertising or analytics cookies on this site. If we add measurement for advertising campaigns or site analytics in future, we will update this notice first and, where the law requires it, ask before setting those cookies.
Page fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. When your browser fetches a font, Google receives your IP address as part of that request. Google's privacy policy governs what it does with that information.
How we use your information
- To answer your inquiry, prepare a quote and follow up on it.
- To mail a sample pack you asked for.
- To produce your order: prepare the file, send you a PDF proof, print, and ship.
- To send you the messages an order needs, such as the proof, order confirmation and shipping notice.
- To handle questions, reprints and refunds.
- To keep the site secure and prevent fraud and abuse.
- To keep the accounting and tax records the law requires.
We do not sell your information, and we do not send marketing email unless you have asked for it. If we ever offer a newsletter, it will be opt-in, and every message will have an unsubscribe link.
How long we keep it
- Inquiries and sample requests are kept for as long as we are talking about the project, and then for a reasonable period in case you come back to it.
- Order records are kept for the period tax and accounting law requires, which in the United States is generally seven years.
- Artwork you upload but do not order is deleted automatically fourteen days after upload.
- Artwork attached to an order is kept with the order so we can reprint it for you and resolve any problem with the job.
- Server logs are kept for a short period for security purposes and then rotated out.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us at any time to tell you what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. We will do so unless we are required to keep a record, for example an order we have to retain for tax purposes. Email hello@ilovebrandable.com and we will respond within thirty days.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state or national privacy law, including the right to know, the right to delete and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of, but the other rights apply and you can exercise them by email. We will never treat you differently for making a request.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Uploaded artwork is stored outside the public web folder and can only be retrieved by signed-in staff from the order it belongs to. Server access is restricted to the people who run the site. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, but we take reasonable measures and we will tell you if something goes wrong with your information.
Children
This site is for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under eighteen. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.
Where your information is processed
Brandable is a United States business. Our web servers are in the European Union, and our print and shipping partners may be in the United States or overseas, depending on the product. By using the site you understand that your information may be stored and processed in these places.
Changes to this notice
When we change how we handle information, we change this page and update the date at the top. If a change is significant, for example adding analytics or advertising measurement, we will say so plainly here rather than bury it.
