What is spot UV?
A clear raised gloss applied only where you choose - a logo, a shape, a line of type - so it catches the light against the flat surface.
Is it on both sides?
Yes, spot UV on both sides. Tell us what should be glossy on each.
Why no fine type in the UV?
The gloss is applied off-line, in a separate pass. Type under 8pt, thin lines and serifs will not hold their shape in it.
How long until I have them?
Two to three business days on press once your proof is approved, plus shipping. Shipping is included.
Will I see a proof before it prints?
Yes. Every order gets an online PDF proof by email for content and positioning. A printed hard-copy proof is available on request. Nothing goes to press until you approve, and production time starts from your approval.
What if my file is not print-ready?
Send what you have. We set it up to the guidelines above - bleed, safe area, resolution - and show you the proof before anything prints.
